From live paintings to handmade keepsakes, a visit to the Palace Market is a lesson in the art and culture that makes the city of New Orleans shine. Open 7 days a week, this nighttime mecca for local art provides a gathering place for artists and art lovers to connect. It’s the outdoor pavilion’s twinkling lights and more than 40 rotating artists, that attracts locals and visitors alike to Frenchmen Street.

Nestled in the heart of the Marigny off the edge of the French Quarter, Palace is an art haven that hosts events throughout the week including unique ones like Splatter Paint the Bride. The live art events, which occur every Saturday night, allows artists to create pieces in front of an audience instead of creating work off-site for the audience to encounter in their own time. It's beautiful human connections like these that position Palace as more than an art market. Yes, artists sell prints, jewelry, apparel and more but the Palace Market serves as a place of passion, engagement and opportunity. The best part? The market is free to stroll through and all are welcome to enjoy.

Visit the Palace Market Sunday through Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m., Thursday through Friday from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. and Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. To find out more, visit their website:
